Ten Sri Lanka players, including Angelo Mathews, Lasith Malinga and captain Dimuth Karunaratne, have opted out of their limited-overs tour of Pakistan due to security concerns.
The team are due to play three one-day internationals along with three Twenty20 games out of 27 September to 9 October.
Participants were permitted to choose whether to take part.
Pakistan haven’t hosted a Test since gunmen attacked the crew bus of Sri Lanka from Lahore at 2009.
The attack left six security personnel and two civilians dead, while six players had been injured.
“The meeting was geared toward informing the players concerning the security arrangements during the coming tour and also to find out their conclusion (possibly participating or not) before the selection of squads for the ODI and T20I string,” that a Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) statement said.
Niroshan Dickwella, Kusal Perera, Dhananjaya Silva, Thisara Perera, Akila Dhananjaya, Suranga Lakmal along with Dinesh Chandimal combined ODI captain Karunaratne, T20 skipper Malinga and captain Mathews in choosing to not be part of this tour.
The limited-overs leg of this series had been brought forward in August following an arrangement between the SLC and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), with 2 Tests pushed backwards, having initially been set to happen in October.
