Liverpool are currently sweating on the fitness of Andy Robertson for their Champions League match with Napoli.
The Champions League holders begin the defence of their European Cup title in Naples on Tuesday in the San Paolo Stadium. Also are side Genk and club RB Salzburg.
Liverpool left-back Robertson didn’t train with his team-mates before they left Italy on Monday and would probably likely be further assessed by club staff on Tuesday prior to a decision is taken on his availability for the game.
“Robbo didn’t train today and we must see,” Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp told the club website.
“It is not a significant item, it was precautionary today, however it isn’t 100 per cent sure [that he will be accessible ].
“We will have to test it tomorrow and then we will see.”
Liverpool are without Divock Origi for the Group E fixture later he suffered a foot injury in the Premier League leaders’ 3-1 win against Newcastle on Saturday.
However, Klopp thinks there is every possibility that Origi could return to action prior to the month’s end.
“The update Div is it is not overly serious,” he said.
“We anticipate him [to be out for] between one and two weeks, but it depends a bit on when he can deal with the pain.
“It is nothing really; it’s a feeling, but it should be fine.”
