Lewis Hamilton suspects Mercedes are going to get it”hard to overcome” rejuvenated Ferrari in F1’s upcoming races but has backed the entire world champions to climb into the revived challenge.
To get a track, against all pre-weekend expectations in Singapore that needs high downforce – a sensed 2019 Ferrari weakness – that the Scuderia finished second and first in the race to expand their winning streak of Sunday – their sequence for 11 decades.

For the second time in the last six seasons, Mercedes have suffered three successive defeats Consequently.
And with Ferrari now seemingly having found a breakthrough by using their car on tracks which do not only require horsepower – that the SF90 strength – Hamilton is expecting a more consistent fight.
“I am a realist, therefore I see the situation we’re in and they’ve just come up with some kind of upgrade that is possibly put their auto… perhaps they’ve had a fantastic car all year and it just wasn’t functioning in the perfect window,” explained Hamilton on Sunday night.
“Who knows, since it’s unlikely they have attracted a massive, massive upgrade that has brought 20-30 things [of downforce] to some thing that performance-wise is probably what you would expect they’ve accepted here.
“But obviously their car works really well everywhere now so it’s likely to be somewhat hard to conquer them, especially as they’re so fast on the straights. We can not compete on the straights at the moment.”
Mercedes should’pull up our socks’
Regardless of the winning run of Ferrari, Hamilton and Mercedes’ consistent form before the August summer break implies that they stay on course.
Hamilton extended his name contribute into 65 points over Valtteri Bottas, while Ferrari writer, Leclerc, is 96 points adrift with 156 points to perform for over the last six races.
“We’ve won before with not the best automobile but it’s really how we deliver the weekend.
“At this time they are delivering better in the operations region. Direct and Now I did enough at the race in the very first stint to come out but the processes did not get the job done. So we have just got to re-huddle, reunite together, work hard and proceed forwards.”
The world champion added:”Of course it’s got tighter and tighter as the year has gone , we work on this, but in exactly the same time we have only got to be doing a better job.
“We were doing such a fantastic job at the start of the year plus we have this gap, but the gap can go. I am under no illusions – it is not won.
“We’ve got to pull our socks up. We can do better. But we lose and win as a team and all of us don’t feel good at the moment.”
